Where the solar story begins.

Our central project ambition takes shape in Namibia: planned solar capacity, an intended market across the border and a long-term relationship with the host landscape.

Water security, nature, local capability

Develop with the place.

Land, water, ecology, grid access and community priorities all shape a solar project. The work begins by understanding how they fit together at the proposed site.

Electriffy’s Namibia portfolio stories include the planned 100 MWp project for intended supply to Zambia and the separate Tsumeb North development concept. Each has its own design, evidence and decision pathway.

Keep regional value in the conversation.

The Your.Earth model is intended to connect participating energy projects with regional programmes. Water security, nature and local capability are areas to investigate with the people and organisations closest to the need.

100 MWp describes planned solar nameplate capacity. It is not a statement of continuous 100 MW delivery, annual generation, completed construction or secured funding.

The host landscape.

Desert light, open space and fragile water. The landscape our Namibian projects are designed to respect.

The intended market: Zambia.

The planned 100 MWp solar project is in development, with electricity intended for supply across the border. Storage and the supply profile will be defined through project design; the transmission route, offtaker, contracts and financial close are not yet confirmed.

Have an idea for an initiative in Namibia?

Do you run a business or a local initiative near our projects? Tell us your idea. Restoration Capital is how Your.Earth will back local entrepreneurs whose work restores land, water and livelihoods.

  • Restoration Seed

Start-up capital without repayment, for initiatives that restore water, land, wildlife or skills.

  • Restoration Investment

Low-interest capital for local businesses that are ready to grow, repaid as the business earns.

We read every idea. Restoration Capital is being set up within the Your.Earth programme, so sending an idea starts a conversation; it is not yet a funding decision.

Fill in at least one, so we can reply.
