Sunlight in one country. Possibility in another.

Our planned 100 MWp solar project connects generation in Namibia with intended electricity supply to Zambia. Its purpose also reaches into the landscapes and communities around it.

Two countries. One supply story.

Generation is planned in Namibia and the electricity is intended for Zambia. The route between the two is not yet confirmed; it takes shape as the project develops.

  • SupplyIntended electricity supply to Zambia; the delivery profile follows the engineering and the final agreements.

A resource becomes an opportunity when it meets a need.

Sunlight alone does not build an energy system. It needs a suitable site, a grid pathway, a buyer and a project that can be financed and delivered. Electriffy’s Namibia–Zambia project brings that work around one clear ambition: develop 100 MWp of solar capacity in Namibia for electricity intended for Zambia.

The generation asset and the supply arrangement are developed together. Storage can help shape output, but the achievable delivery profile follows the engineering and the final agreements.

The connection is commercial as well as physical.

Cross-border electricity supply depends on more than distance. Grid studies, transmission capacity, licences, trading arrangements and the buyer’s requirements all need to align.

Those are project development tasks. The website does not present a specific transmission route, named offtaker, signed contract or financial-close date as confirmed. Discussions with counterparties and investors are handled through the project team.

Value should remain where the story begins.

The project’s regenerative ambition is to connect clean-energy infrastructure with the long-term wellbeing of its host region. That starts with the site’s ecological baseline and community engagement.

Through the proposed Your.Earth mechanism, participating project revenue could support regional programmes with defined governance and measurable outcomes. Water security in Namibia’s Zambezi Region is an identified programme concept; its geography and scope must be established through the programme work.

Build the evidence. Then earn the milestone.

  1. Site & design

Confirm land arrangements, resource assessment, ecological and social baseline, system design and storage requirements.

  2. Grid & offtake

Establish connection, transmission access, licences, intended delivery profile and commercial arrangements.

  3. Finance & delivery

Complete due diligence, agree financing and delivery contracts, and satisfy conditions for an investment decision.

  4. Operate & regenerate

Commission the asset, manage performance and put agreed regional commitments into practice.

100 MWp describes planned solar nameplate capacity. It is not a statement of continuous 100 MW delivery, annual generation, completed construction or secured funding.
