Utrecht Hill Ridge

Together with the municipality of Utrechtse Heuvelrug and Heuvelrug Energie, the consortium wants to contribute to making households more sustainable, in balance with the environment by linking a NISPCertified solar park with home batteries and rooftop solar. We start from the electricity consumption of the inhabitants of a house and from a resident who wants to make his or her electricity consumption sustainable and link it with this nature-inclusive solar park.

Municipality of Utrecht Hill Ridge

Natural gas, petroleum and coal are fossil fuels. These fuels are running out and are harmful to the environment:. Sustainable living means, first of all, using as little fossil energy as possible. This starts with proper insulation of your home. Choosing green energy sources such as sun, wind and water is important. With renewable energy from your own solar panels and a heat pump to replace the central heating boiler, you are no longer dependent on natural gas. The government has determined that by 2050 everyone in our country must switch to green, renewable fuels. This is policy of the municipality of Utrechtse Heuvelrug and we are helping to achieve it.

The idea of a nature including solar park at the old landfill coupled with rooftop solar and batteries is an attractive option.

About the project

The initiators of SMART NISP consider it important to inform the surrounding area and involve them in the initiative as much as possible. In this way we want to create as much local acceptance for the Solar Park as possible. We attach great value to openly informing and involving stakeholders (local residents, residents of the municipality of Utrechtse Heuvelrug, civil society organizations, entrepreneurs and governments) in the planning process. We do this from the awareness that a solar park in the area can be a major change, particularly for those living in the immediate vicinity. In this chapter we explain how we involve the local community in the project development. The basic principles are open, transparent and timely communication and listening to the surroundings. All this according to the BRL of NISPCertified.
Together with Electriffy, we are already making our paramedic center more sustainable, and we are also considering batteries so we can participate in this project.
